At Treetops Queen of Hearts Day Nursery and Preschool, Kettering we absolutely love to play, create and educate together.
We know how important your child’s safety, development and preschool education is to you. That’s why every child at Treetops Queen of Hearts Nursery School is assigned their very own key carer to ensure that we can provide you and your little ones with continuous assessment and the very best in quality childcare.
Treetops Queen of Hearts Nursery School, part of The Treetops Nursery Family in Kettering. Set back from the main road and surrounded by mature trees our stunning day nursery and preschool sits in a spacious converted Victorian house with many original features.
Parents love our location, close to Kettering town centre and with convenient links to the A14 for the M1 and M6. Kettering Railway Station is just 1.5 miles away.
Treetops Queen of Hearts Nursery School enjoys a beautiful, large garden for outdoor play and learning and a private car park with plenty of space for easy drop-offs and pick-ups.
Our expert and passionate team care for children aged 6 weeks up to the age of 5, in rooms specifically designed to provide tailored, age and stage-appropriate activities and experiences.
Led by a qualified school teacher, the preschool children at Queen of Hearts Nursery School enjoy a broad range of learning opportunities and a curriculum designed to get them ready for ‘big school’.
Though fun is the order of the day every day we begin to gently introduce more structure in our preschool rooms and deliver the foundations you’d expect for lifelong learning – phonics, literacy and writing, elemental mathematics plus key social skills to help your little ones become confident and independent.
Our strong teaching credentials at Queen of Hearts Nursery School are also complemented by a Nursery Principal with Early Years Teacher status and a Degree in Early Years Teaching.
Our preschool children typically go on to neighbouring schools including St Thomas More Primary School, Hall Meadow Primary School, Park Road Primary School, Brambleside Primary School and Laxton Primary School.
We know how hard it can be when you leave your little one for the first time so we’ll work closely with you to ensure that the transition from home to nursery is as smooth as it can be.
That’s why we’ve developed what we call a home-from-home approach to the styling of our nurseries.
Our self-contained baby room has been decorated to resemble a lounge or living room with all of the same creature comforts you might have at home. It makes for a friendly, homely and welcome environment.
It’s essential that young children get frequent and regular opportunities to explore and learn in the outdoor environment and the team at Treetops Queen of Hearts Nursery School, Kettering fully support this. All of our children, regardless of age, are encouraged to engage in outdoor play every day, whatever the weather.
Our large garden is full of wonderful learning resources including a story-telling chair, mud kitchen and summer house – perfect for role play, hiding-out and picnics. Our curriculum includes the environment, elements and outdoor world and the garden pond offers a great practical, live resource for nature exploration.
A large sandpit, complete with a sun-shade canopy, presents a fun way for exploring simple mathematical concepts like mass, capacity and measurement and of course simple physical exertion!
Our comprehensive learning curriculum is also strengthened by the opportunity to engage in extra-curricular activities. We currently offer dance, music and French lessons at Treetops Queen of Hearts Nursery School
The nursery had an extensive refurbishment to the interior and garden in 2014 and all fees include free nappies and wipes.
