At Treetops Mottingham Day Nursery and Preschool, Eltham we absolutely love to play, create and educate together.
We know how important your child’s safety, development and preschool education is to you. That’s why every child at Mottingham Day Nursery, Eltham is assigned their very own key carer to ensure that we can provide you and your little ones with continuous assessment and the very best in quality childcare.
Treetops Mottingham Day Nursery and Preschool, Eltham is located on a wide, tree-lined residential road in the bright, family-oriented area of Eltham.
Sitting back off the West Park Road we have a stunning, multi-storey, converted house fully renovated and refurbished in 2015.
We are perfectly situated for public transport with local bus routes stopping at the end of the road and Mottingham mainline railway station just 2 minutes away with Southeastern services into London’s Cannon Street and Charing Cross.
For those parents driving we are very close to the A20 route into London and Kent and have a driveway at the front of the building for drop-offs and pick-ups. Parking permits are required for on-street parking between the hours of 1:30 and 3pm.
Parents with babies love Treetops Mottingham Day Nursery, Eltham. They are reassured and welcomed by the familiar environment we’ve created. We like to think of it as the Treetops Nurseries home-from-home approach. It’s a special technique we’ve developed which involves styling our baby and nursery rooms to look just like the spaces you might find at home. Regular everyday household objects like sofas, coffee tables, rugs and soft furnishings create a relaxed and homely environment designed to help babies and children settle in to nursery life.
These everyday objects also serve a purpose in development too – for example the precursor to walking is often ‘pulling-up’ on tables and other objects and circling them with the support they provide.
All of our children at Treetops Mottingham Day enjoy a stimulating educational curriculum developed in line with the EYFS statutory framework. This allows the dedicated childcare team to monitor your child’s progress over time and ensure that they are developing in line with key age-dependent milestones.
We use a variety of techniques and child-led, creative play to maximise the potential of every child and their development. From messy play, sensory play, home corner and role play to the pre-school staples of phonics, literacy and elemental mathematics we have every age and stage of childcare covered. We even run week-long programmes of school readiness for children leaving the nursery, to equip them with all of the essential skills they need for ‘big school’.
Our children also enjoy additional activities like gardening and bug hunting in our large, well-resourced garden plus baking and cookery lessons from our resident cook. They also get out and about in the community, visiting local parks, Eltham library for stories and rhyme-time plus nature visits to The Tarn.
We work closely with many schools to help the transition process including Farringtons School, Chislehurst, St Olaves Preparatory School, Eltham, Colfe’s School, Greenwich, Dulverton Primary School, Sidcup, Wybourne Primary School, New Eltham, Redhill Primary School, Chislehurst and Mottingham Primary School, Mottingham.
