At Busy Bees Mansfield Vicar Water, we provide a warm, home-from-home environment where children can learn, play and grow in confidence. Set back from the main road, our converted nursery offers a welcoming space where children can feel happy, secure and supported.

Our passionate team are committed to making every day enjoyable and enriching, with plenty of opportunities for children to explore their interests, develop new skills and build confidence through play.

Our nursery is arranged across two floors, with four base rooms thoughtfully designed around different age groups. Each space provides a comfortable and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and develop at their own pace.

Our spacious, secure garden provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor exploration and active play, supporting children as they develop their balance, coordination, confidence and independence. Our location also allows us to make the most of the local area, with walks to the nearby Country Park and Forest providing opportunities to explore the wider community.

Set back from the main road, our nursery is conveniently located close to Nottingham train station, with a bus stop directly outside. We also have on-site parking for straightforward drop-offs and collections.

Please note that we offer full-day sessions only, allowing us to provide a consistent and enriching nursery experience throughout the day.

I have been with Mansfield Vicar Water Busy Bees since 2014 and hold a degree in Early Years Education and Professional Early Years Teaching Status.

I am a keen reader and used to play for Chesterfield Ladies.

I see myself as a progressive manager always on the look-out for new and exciting ways to keep the children at Busy Bees Mansfield Vicar Water engaged. I am credited with discovering Disco Dough on the Internet, an innovative activity to strengthen the muscles in children’s hands and fingers ready for writing.

My boy attended here from 12-21 months and fully recommend (the only reason he isn’t still here is because we got a space at a forest school and even then it was a difficult decision to move him). I was anxious about sending my boy to nursery but I needn’t have been. It’s like a home from home and he settled quickly. The staff are lovely and professional, and he formed some great attachments to the point he was excited to go to his key worker in the morning. We are vegan and he always had nutritious meals and lots of variety - he always ate it so must have tasted good too! He also slept well and when we picked him up he was always happy and clean. Miraculously, they never lost any of our stuff (ever) even though we didn’t label anything (obviously wouldn’t advise we just forgot). Even a cuddly fox he kept there for sleep/comfort remained safe. We received daily updates via the app along with pictures so we could see what he was getting up to. Thanks for looking after our boy for these 9 months and making that nursery transition and his first experiences so positive ❤️

Our daughter has been coming here since she was 10 months old. The staff are wonderful, passionate and have enriched her development. Our daughter absolutely loves nursery and we are grateful to send her somewhere we feel confident they are caring for her so well.

Our daughter loves being at Busy Bees. The staff are so supportive and caring, and she’s learnt so much since she’s been there. The outdoor space is great which was so important to us and we get regular updates and photos through the day for peace of mind.
