Our nursery in Southwell provides a safe environment in which your child can grow and learn about the world around them. Our building offers three separate childcare rooms dedicated to different age groups, allowing us to accept babies, toddlers and preschoolers at our day nursery in Southwell.

Our nursery features light, airy décor to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote happy, engaged learning. We have a number of ways to learn and play, including building blocks, plasticine and more to help little ones develop motor skills, and much more. 

We also have a secure outdoor space at Busy Bees Southwell, offering kids the opportunity to take their learning exploration outside. Our outdoor area has slides, see-saws, ride on cars and much more than little ones can enjoy while supervised.

We currently have space for pre-school aged children and younger, and government funding options are available.

Parent Room
Our parent room is a dedicated safe space for us to get to know your family and you to speak in confidence with our nursery team about your child's nursery life.

Smart Board
Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 2 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Food at Busy Bees at Southwell

Any fees paid to our nursery in Southwell are inclusive of meals, drinks and snacks, which are all prepared on-site, every day, by our talented nursery chef. Each meal is packed with all of the good stuff that your child needs to grow.

Our menus are NHS-accredited and feature a range of fruit, vegetables and other healthy ingredients.

If your child has any specific dietary requirements or food allergies, please speak to your Centre Director who will be able to offer alternative options for your child.

Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Southwell are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

Our day nursery in Southwell is really easy to get to, whether you decide to visit us by car or public transport. You can find out nursery in Southwell on Allenby Road, with the Vicarage Road bus stop less than a minute walk away. The bus stop is served by the 26, 28, 29 and N26 buses.

For those arriving by car, we have plenty of car parking space next to the nursery, allowing for easy pick-ups and drop-offs away from busy roads.

"An amazing nursery. I search for ages to find somewhere i felt comfortable leaving my little one and instantly felt he would settle well here and be more than watched for a few hours but actually looked after and educated. Well done to the team for working so hard to achieve this lovely setting, especially after the uncertain year they have had. Every team member has always been smiling (i think! They have masks on at the moment) and is always welcoming and caring. Thank you!"
