Busy Bees Solihull Blythe, praised for ‘providing the best possible start’ for children in its care, has secured a second ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.

The centre, at Blythe Gate, was visited by Ofsted on 23 March, with the inspector noting the centre’s ‘excellent’ partnership with parents.

Retaining its ‘Outstanding’ rating in all areas, the nursery was recognised for prioritising ‘children’s wellbeing and safety’ and creating an environment where children ‘have a wonderful time’ and are ‘very happy and settled’.

The inspector commended the centre’s ‘excellent’ partnership with parents, with families saying their children experienced an ‘amazing time’ and delighting in the progress their children make. Parents told the inspector that they feel valued by the centre staff, who ‘include them in their child’s learning’, encouraging them to share experiences from home in the nursery.

Leanne Wells, Centre Director at Busy Bees Solihull Blythe, said: “Maintaining our Outstanding rating is a testament to the dedication of my team, who are committed to delivering the highest quality care and education for our children.

“We are particularly honoured by the comments that parents made to the inspectors, as our positive relationship with them is vital in ensuring that together we can give every child the very best start in life.”

The inspection report mentions to ‘exemplary’ behaviour and attitude of children, who are ‘highly engage in activities and are confident learners’.

Staff are focused on the individual developmental needs of each child, offering many opportunities for physical activity and teaching children about healthy lifestyle choices. Every Busy Bees nursery provides NHS-accredited meals cooked on the premises.

A strong emphasis on communication and language sees the centre’ staff learning key words for children who speak English as an additional language, ensuring ‘all children feel welcome and understood’. In addition, the inspector noted there are plenty of activities to support children’s understanding of numbers, counting and weight, even with the very youngest children.
