'Inspiring' Busy Bees Dudley secures Outstanding Ofsted rating

‘Inspiring’ Busy Bees Dudley has secured an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, reflecting the exceptional quality of care and education offered by the ‘highly effective’ and ‘passionately committed’ staff at the Manderston Close centre. 

Katie Pearson, Centre Director of Busy Bees Dudley, said: “We are thrilled to secure an Outstanding Ofsted rating. Our team at Dudley are dedicated to providing the best start in life for all our children and ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and learning opportunities.” 

The Ofsted report praised the centre's management, noting that leaders had ‘built a wonderful environment where staff encourage children to be who they want to be’ and children’s individuality and creativity are nurtured.  

The report also highlighted several key strengths at Busy Bees Dudley: 

  • High-Quality Education: a ‘rich and meaningful curriculum’ helps children to make rapid progress in their learning, contributing to their personal development and readiness for school
  • Supportive Environment: Busy Bees Dudley creates a nurturing environment where children can feel safe, valued, and respected, enabling them to flourish
  • Engaged Staff: Inspectors noted the staff’s dedication, expertise, and passion for providing the best possible care and education for the children
  • Strong Partnerships: The report recognised the centre's strong partnerships with parents, highlighting their importance in supporting children's learning and development
  • Safety and Hygiene: The centre maintains a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety measures, ensuring the well-being of all children. 

The nursery offers a wide range of stimulating activities and experiences to support children's development, designed to foster children's curiosity and help them develop essential skills in a fun and engaging way. 

Parents speak ‘extremely highly’ of the nursery and staff, and ‘clearly attribute the children’s learning to the time they spend in the nursery’.
