Busy Bees Leytonstone is celebrating the completion of a £100,000 nursery refurbishment which will offer 100 children the best start in life.

The nursery, located on Whipps Cross Road near the Whipps Cross University Hospital, has undergone a major transformation including brand-new equipment for the indoor and outdoor play areas and eco-friendly resources as part of the nursery’s commitment to lowering its carbon footprint.

To encourage open-ended play across all areas of learning, the children will benefit from a brand-new garden space with outdoor play equipment including a large wooden train to encourage imaginative play, and planting areas to ensure children actively participate in learning about a sustainable future. There is also a large outdoor bicycle area to promote gross motor skills.

The nursery also features a revamped kitchen where children benefit from NHS-accredited meals and snacks, freshly prepared on-site by the nursery chefs.

Dorota Batkowska, Centre Director at Busy Bees Leytonstone, joined the centre in September 2022. With over 15 years of experience in the early years sector, Dorota and her long-standing team are committed to providing the best learning environment for children.

Dorota said: “The team has worked so hard over the last two years and we’re thrilled to finally be able to showcase our refurbished centre and the difference it will make to our children.

“Our ambition was to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment so that the children can grow and flourish in a home-from-home environment. Our refurbishment ensures they benefit from the best possible learning environment that is catered to their needs and interests. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Busy Bees Leytonstone caters for 100 children aged three months to five years, providing high-quality care and early years education.
