Thirty-eight Busy Bees professionals from across the globe are embarking on a trip of a lifetime to the UK and Ireland, as part of Busy Bees’ annual Talent Exchange Programme - a three-week initiative designed to improve educational outcomes across its nurseries.

From Monday 29th September to Saturday 18th October, colleagues from across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand will spend time in Busy Bees Nurseries in the UK and Ireland, collaborating, sharing insights, and exploring pioneering approaches to early years education.

During their trip, candidates will have the chance to explore Busy Bees’ UK curriculum, Bee Curious, the UK’s only independent evaluated early years curriculum that has been designed to feed children’s curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning.

They will also have the opportunity to experience the heritage and culture of the UK and Ireland, including a tour of London, Dublin’s rich history and the Scottish Highlands.

Among the group are four UK-based candidates including Sarah Jarratt, Room Manager at Busy Bees Leicester Meridian, Diane Chichester Miles, Centre Director at Busy Bees Apsley, Kim Shersby, Assistant Centre Director at Busy Bees Gillingham and Rachel Guy, Development Coach.

Emma Langford, European People Director at Busy Bees said: “We’re incredibly proud to host this year’s Talent Exchange Programme in the UK, the home of Busy Bees and where our journey began in 1983!

“The programme brings together some of our most passionate, dedicated educators from around the world to gain hands-on experience with the latest developments in childcare, explore the rich diversity of childcare practices in the UK and meet our wonderful nursery teams, and take-home innovative ideas to inspire their teams and community.

“It really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the future of early years education and build global friendships that last a lifetime.”

This year’s candidates come from all walks of life, with ages ranging 19 to 69, a testament to the programme’s commitment to diversity and learning without boundaries. Among them is Diane Chichester Miles, Centre Director at Busy Bees Apsley, who says she ‘can’t wait to share her knowledge with her team’.

Diane said: “I am so proud to have been selected for this year’s programme and I can’t wait to meet new people and discover the great work they do in their centres.

“This programme is about growth - for ourselves, our centres, and the children we care for so that we continue our vision of giving every child we care for the best start in life.”
