Busy Bees Bicester, which has been a part of the local community since 2008, has unveiled its newly refurbished nursery, as part of its commitment to providing high-quality early years education and care to families in Bicester.
Located on Bure Park, the nursery has undergone a major transformation over the past five months, investing over £260,000 in brand-new furniture and resources.
The refurbishment has been designed in line with its Bee Curious curriculum, ensuring children can feed their natural curiosity in engaging and playful environments. Bee Curious is the UK's only independently evaluated early years curriculum which is centred around each child’s individual needs and embraces play-based learning to spark imagination and build confidence.
Sophie Bryant, Centre Director at Busy Bees Bicester, joined the nursery in 2011. Along with her long-standing team, they have over 150 years of collective early years’ experience.
Sophie said: “At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to giving every child the best start in life. We wanted to create playful spaces that reflect children’s interests and one where they feel safe and supported.
“This transformation represents our dedication to our children’s learning and development, and we are confident it will positively shape their Busy Bees journey and readiness for school. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved, and I can’t wait to see children thrive in their new environment.”
A parent said: “The refurbishment has completely transformed the nursery, it looks absolutely lovely. The rooms feel so much more spacious and fresh, and the new toys and equipment have made such a difference for the children. It’s like a breath of fresh air has blown through the whole nursery.”
