Busy Bees Reading Woodley, which has been a part of the local community since 2013, has unveiled its newly refurbished nursery, as part of its commitment to providing high-quality early years education and care to families in the heart of Woodley.
Located on Hurricane Way, the nursery has undergone a major transformation over the past five months, investing over £250,000 in brand-new furniture and resources.
The refurbishment has been designed in line with its Bee Curious curriculum, ensuring children can feed their natural curiosity in engaging and playful environments. Bee Curious is the UK's only independently evaluated early years curriculum which is centred around each child’s individual needs and embraces play-based learning to spark imagination and build confidence.
Fiona-George Smith, Centre Director at Busy Bees Reading Woodley, joined the centre in August 2025, who, along with her long-standing team, have over 40 years of collective early years’ experience.
Fiona said: “At the forefront of our nursery is giving every child the best start in life. We’ve created an environment that is not only playful and engaging, but also thoughtfully designed to ensure children feel safe and supported.
“This transformation represents our commitments to their learning and development, and we’re confident it will make a lasting difference on their journey with Busy Bees and beyond. I’m truly proud of what we have achieved and can’t wait to see children flourish in their new environments.”
