Busy Bees at Market Harborough, where children arrive happy and are greeted by warm and caring staff is celebrating its Ofsted result following its latest inspection.
Achieving a ‘Strong Standard’ across behaviour, attitudes and establishing routines, and children’s welfare and wellbeing and an ‘Expected Standard’ across all other categories, the nursery team was recognised for showing ‘kindness and respect’, offering plenty of ‘praise and encouragement for children’s achievements’, with ‘children’s smiling faces show that they feel a sense of belonging’.
The report praised the team for providing ‘secure routines that help children feel safe’, with children seeking out hugs and kind words for reassurance. Babies and young children enjoy joining in with songs and rhymes, clapping their hands and developing their language as they listen to stories with ‘rich vocabulary’. While the older children hang their coats on pegs and collect their plates of food, supporting their confidence and independence as they prepare for school.
The nursery, located on Torch Way next to Harborough Leisure Centre, is led by Sarah Krause who brings more than 15 years of experience. Sarah is supported by a longstanding team with over 70 years of experience, providing exceptional care and education for families in the local community.
Sarah Krause, Centre Director at Busy Bees at Market Harborough, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with our Ofsted result! It is a wonderful reflection of the dedication our team puts into creating nurturing and positive environments. We are incredibly proud to know that the children in our care are exactly where they should be – in a supportive environment where they feel safe, heard and valued.”
Parents and carers shared positive feedback about the nursery, commenting how they are ‘supported to ensure that the whole family benefits from the nursery provision’.
A parent whose son attends the nursery, added: “Ever since our walk around with Sarah, we knew this was the nursery for us. Our son has grown and developed so much in the few months he has been there. The staff are always so lovely and build on the foundations we are making at home.”
The nursery’s Bee Curious curriculum was applauded for placing children’s interests at the heart of their learning, with the team getting to know each child and adapting the activities for different groups of children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who face other barriers to learning.
