Welcome to our nursery...
Busy Bees Day Nursery in Chingford is a large, beautiful, purpose built nursery situated close to the local amenities and is within easy reach of both Chingford and Highams Park Stations. We also have a drop-off and collection point outside the nursery, along with a car park.
The nursery has rooms appropriate for each age group, which provide a homely atmosphere for all the children. The rooms are spacious, open and stimulating with a wide range of resources available both inside and out. Each room has access to their own individual garden areas, which are age and stage appropriate, allowing the children to have the opportunity to free flow from the inside and outside environment at key times throughout each day. The garden areas are large, spacious and have shelters to ensure the children can play outdoors in all weathers.
The children are provided with many amazing learning opportunities throughout the rooms, from 3 months right up to 5 years. Our experienced and qualified staff cater for all children’s individual needs and interests and ensure that we have all necessary resources and equipment to support each child’s journey. Every child is assigned a key person who carefully observes, plans and assesses their development and keeps records of their personal learning, using our wonderful iConnect and ParentZone platform where you can see your childs’ day to day development at the click of a button. The key person approach is a way of working in childcare settings in which the whole focus and organisation is aimed at enabling close attachments between individual children and individual practitioners. All children need to form an attachment to one skilled adult who regards them as special. We try to rm these bonds during settling sessions, which are tailored to the parent and the child. The staff here at Chingford are dedicated, hard-working, skilled and most of all passionate about their roles, the children and the parents. All staff are either NNEB, CACHE & NVQ level 3 trained or working towards it and we have over 200 years of experience working within the setting alongside the children, so rest-assured they are all in very capable hands!
Amy, our wonderful Chef, and Tanya her assistant provide delicious home cooked food which is nutritionally balanced and healthy. We have a fantastic six- week rolling menu which is NHS Startwell accredited. This ensures the meals are carefully balanced to give children in our care the exact nutrition needed for their age group, giving them the best start in life, which helps them to play, grow and thrive! It takes advantage of fresh, seasonal produce and allows our children to experience a wide variety of tastes, textures, flavours and colours within their meals. We are also fully equipped to provide food for children with allergies or intolerances as well as cultural preferences. We will always provide a vegetarian option to meat dishes and Halal meat and poultry is offered to those that require it.
The nursery has a Parent Partnership Group (PPG) that can be contacted via email, if you would like to ask any questions or advice. The group consists of parents whose children already attend the nursery and are happy to give support when leaving your children for the first time or even when making a transition up to the next age group. Please feel free to use this service if you have any questions or would like feedback on the service that we provide.
Over the past few years, we have successfully implemented many of the Busy Bees initiatives which are created by our Head office Childcare team. Each initiative has its own design to aid the children to succeed and enjoy many areas of learning and development. The initiatives include Grow Your Own, Cooking with Me and Babble to Chatter! At the Chingford Nursery we also have an amazing app created just for Busy Bees, UP! It’s an inspirational platform that shares activities and experiences to help us further the children’s learning and to extend their experiences. Our parents also get access and it has everything from songs, to videos to activity ideas. Our nursery also has some great link with local schools within the borough, ensuring that the children are ready for school when that transition arrives, as
We are very passionate in providing the best possible start for children and their families and getting involved in the community. If you would like your child to experience a happy, safe and stimulating environment, please arrange an appointment to come and visit the nursery and see for yourself what a great nursery it really is. We will be happy to answer any questions either by telephone or in person.
