My name is Helen and I am a long standing member of the team. I started at the nursery when it first opened in 2003 as a Nursery Nurse after qualifying from college with my CACHE Diploma In Childcare & Education (level 3). I have seen the nursery grow and develop over the years and worked my way up the promotional ladder to get where I am today. I am currently covering Rebecca Wall's Maternity Leave,
I also hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies and also what is more commonly known now as Early Years Teacher Status (EYT). I have also completed courses in Senco training, First Aid at Work, paediatric first aid and Food Hygiene and my level 5 in Leadership and Management.
I have always been passionate about my job. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing children achieve and grown as they develop their own little personalities. I like to ensure that this is at the forefront of what I do and that this passion can be embedded into the strong staff team that we have here at Guiseley, to ensure that children are highly cared for and given as many learning opportunities as possible.
I also pride myself on communication and partnership with parents, some of which I have know for some years as they have had older children that have come through the nursery.
I am a full time working mum, my son attended the nursery and started school in September 2016. This has been a great foundation for his learning and development. The things I have seen him achieve are amazing and I hope this continues for our current and new parents as we welcome them to Busy Bees. Nursery life is a great platform for young children’s development and well-being.
