Why You Will Love Our Nursery

Set alongside the shops and the local primary school, the Busy Bees has been a part of Hampton Hargate since 2002. In fact, the nursery was among the early buildings erected in Hampton. Since then the estate has matured into a peaceful and relaxed neighbourhood, while the nursery successfully continues to maintain its role in the community, welcoming children from the Hamptons and all over Peterborough.

Large airy rooms, well-maintained garden area, delicious home-cooked meals and innovative child development initiatives are just some of the reasons why so many children and parents choose our nursery.

With a fantastic, highly qualified and experienced team of staff in place, we are committed to help all children release their potential at every stage in a fun, engaging way. Children are encouraged to explore, show creativity and get messy. There is also a busy events calendar to keep up with, from Halloween pumpkin carving competition to Easter bonnet parade and Queen’s birthday tea.

‘Staff plan a wide and varied range of activities that motivate and challenge children. Children are keen to know more and they demonstrate a love of learning. Staff use effective systems to accurately observe children at play, analyse their progress and identify their next steps in learning. Babies move confidently around furniture, building on their physical skills. Toddlers become engrossed in stories, willing staff to continue to read. Pre-school children become highly engaged in the sensory activities. They talk excitedly to one another as they smell and touch a range of materials, such as herbs, sand and soil. Staff support children to experiment and ask a good range of questions, which promotes critical thinking and problem solving skills.’ Ofsted 2015.

Meet the Team

Eloise Godfrey

Nursery Manager

Hello my name is Eloise Godfrey and I am the Nursery Manager for Busy Bees Peterborough.  I hold a Child Development GCSE, a level 2,3 & 4 NVQ in Early Years and a Certificate in Early Years Practice (level 4). I am also a recently qualified NVQ Assessor in Childcare. I am truly committed to continuing professional development and hope to achieve higher qualifications in years to come.

I have been working in the childcare sector for 15 years. I have undertaken long placements in primary school and a playgroup whilst undertaking my first Early Years NVQs. Since qualifying I have worked in my preferred settings, day nurseries.

I truly enjoy every moment of my job, especially seeing the difference I help make to children's lives who attend my nursery. I aim for the highest standards of care, education and happiness everyday. I believe the biggest asset a nursery has is it's staff team. The staff team at Peterborough has huge potential and enthusiasm and I look forward to seeing the results we can achieve together.

As a Mum I understand the importance of routine and high quality standards of care for all children.

Jenny Blin
Business Manager

Coming from marketing and hospitality background, Busy Bees is my first job within the childcare sector. As a new mum, however, I can easily relate to the issues and expectations of parents, who have to leave their little ones to be looked after by someone else.

My role at the nursery is to improve links with the local community and to make sure that you as a parent feel informed and involved in what we do. Ask me about upcoming events, the parent newsletter and the Parent Partnership Group.
