Why You Will Love Our Nursery

Busy Bees at the Rye is set in the beautiful Rye Park with easy access to all of the local amenities, situated in the centre of High Wycombe.

Both the train station and the motorway are just a stones throw away making commuting to work easy to manage.

The Rye has been established since 1994 and has always enjoyed a good relationship with the local community as well as being a home from home environment with dedicated and loving staff employed to care for your children.

The Rye nursery has recently undergone a complete transformation both inside the nursery and out. 5 bright, colourful rooms have been created all housing new and age related equipment for the children to play and learn with as well as a lovely outside play area for the under 2’s. A new kitchen has been included in this refurbishment along with a brand new Parent’s room!

Come take a view and see what’s new!

Meet the Team

Nursery Manager

Hello my name is Yvonne Green, I have been working in childcare since qualifying with my NNEB in 1983.

My experience is varied ranging from working as a nanny and in a number of private Day Nurseries before joining The Rye as Manager when it opened in April 1994.

As well as being a qualified Nursery Nurse, I am also qualified in First aid, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene and have recently completed a Leadership Capability Programme with Coventry University.

I am very passionate about working with children and I am privileged to work with a team who are also committed to providing a high standard of care to the children attending The Rye, many of these team members are longstanding with 10 years plus of service.

I am a mum to 3 boys, all of whom attended The Rye from the age of 4 months old.

The nursery and its team provided all of my boys with a home from home, loving, caring and stimulating environment which has contributed to them growing into the well rounded children that they are today and enabled me to continue on my career path with the confidence that my children were well cared for.

This is what my team and I strive to provide for every child and family that becomes part of Busy Bees The Rye.

We would love to meet you and show you around our nursery so that you can see for yourselves the love and care given to all of the children, so please call us at the nursery to arrange a visit.

Elizabeth Montague

I am a working mum with 2 children, both of them have attended Busy Bees and my youngest still attends.
"The staff are wonderful with the childrenand my son can't wait to get in every morning and see what fun they have lined up for them to take part in.My daughter, now at school, still talks about Busy Bees and loves it when she comes with me to drop of her brother and sees everyone again. They make you feel like part of a large family!!"

Jennifer Selby

I am a working mum and my daughter currently attends Busy Bees for 3 days a week, there are a number of reasons why I chose Busy Bees, the opening times (I start work at 8.00am) and the location were a big factor. I also like the diverse ages of all of the staff, lots of life experiences! I remember my 1st impression was how happy all of the children looked and how friendly all the staff were.

"I found it extremely hard to leave my daughter but for the first few weeks the staff kept me informed during the day on her progress which helped me immensely, they took the time to get to know me as well as my daughter and together we worked on weaning and toilet training! My daughter can't wait to go to Busy Bees and start her day, she has made some lovely friends & I have met some lovely people too. My daughter is very happy and is always smiling!"

Sarah Roberts

Hi, my name is Sarah & I am mum to Elliott who is 2 1/2 years old and has been going to Busy Bees since he was 14 months old. We moved to High Wycombe 5 years ago and live a short walk away from the nursery. I am a freelance graphic designer who has a varied working week. I have found Busy Bees to be extremely flexible & accommodating & they are often able to take care of Elliott for extra adhoc days at short notice when I get a last minute project in, this has been a life saver. Thank you BB's!

"Elliott really enjoys his time at nursery, it is a happy, caring & fun environment and I know that Elliott enjoys a wide variety of activities throughout the day. When I collect him in the evening it is great to hear how his day has gone & what he has eaten and how he has slept! All of the staff are friendly & supportive, I am so pleased to have found a nursery where I am happy to leave my son knowing that he is being so well looked after & that he is having fun too!"
