He has loved every minute not only due to the environment, wonderful food and children but also the dedicated nursery nurses
My daughter has only been at the nursery for approximately three months and we are really happy with the way she is looked after. Great care and fully informed of her day to day routine etc
Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to all the staff and management at Just Learning for their hard work over the last 2 years
Since joining at eight months old, my son has felt at home, comfortable and I have always felt that the staff have been professional and excellent. He is now three years old.
We are happy with the care my daughter receives. Always seems to be plenty of activities going on and displays of work on the walls.
Busy Bees in Bexleyheath provides GOOD childcare, as reported by Ofsted, (2015).
Busy Bees Nursery in Bexleyheath is a purpose built nursery which opened in March 2006. The nursery is situated on the same grounds as Bexleyheath Academy next to Goals Soccer Centre this is just a five minute walk from the Bexleyheath town centre.
The Parents are unable to let themselves into the nursery, so a member of staff from the office will.
There are several CCTV units around the out side to give the parents and families reassurance that their child is safe. The nursery has five units for children aged three months to five years. All the rooms are very spacious have recently been decorated in lovely bright colours. The children’s rooms have en-suite bathrooms and the rooms are arranged to offer a variety of learning opportunities for all children under the 7 Areas of learning.
In 2013 we implemented two of Busy Bees initiatives, Wake and Shake and Busy Babies. These activities have been designed by the Busy Bees childcare team and staff have been trained in accordance with the programme. Wake and shake engages the children 2 years and over to learn dance movements with lively music, which helps the children feel re-energised, as the brain works best when supplied with oxygen and endorphins. Busy Babies uses high contrasting tones to stimulate a baby’s brain. “Black and white for stimulation and lilac for calming and relaxation.”
On the 11th June 2014 our Nursery launched another great enhancement Shake and Write. This provides movement opportunities for our pre-school children to develop their physical movement, to develop their handwriting skills. This engages both sides of the brain.
Talk Time Baskets was implemented in 2014 for the children aged 1-2 years, which are used to help promote action rhymes, body language, imitation and imagination with the use of soft toy props including animals, picnic baskets and vegetables.
Pre-school Academy was launched in February 2015, during this time the children are in there, they are learning new skills and abilities that they can take with them when they start their first day at school. Our Pre-school Academy activities and routine will help the children to prepare for School and feel confident on their first day. The children have the option to wear Busy Bees uniform, hats and book bags. The room also has a library that the children are able to take a book home and share with their parents.
In June 2015 the nursery implemented another Busy Bees enhancement Babble to Chatter for age groups. These activities have been created to develop the children’s communication and literacy skills. This can be from babies babbling to children sharing stories.
We have a large outside area which is divided into three different age group areas. The outside area is set up daily for the children to explore, investigate and develop more skills. A variety of outside activities are available for the children throughout the year, such as growing fruit, vegetables and flowers.
We have a high percentage of long serving staff that have a variety of qualification’s and experience in the childcare sector. These qualifications range from NVQ level 2 to Early Year’s Foundation Degree. Other training course’s available to the staff team are paediatric first aid, first aid at work, food hygiene and day courses run by the Busy Bees training team.
All the children that attend the nursery have a key person who observes and plans for each of the children’s individual needs. We invite parents along every six months for parent’s evening to discuss their child’s progress, development achievements and any concerns. We work closely with our parents and build strong relationships with them. We involve them as much as we can in a variety of activities such as Easter hat parade, Christmas carol service and stay and play sessions.
Our top priority in the nursery is to ensure that all we children that attend the nursery are given high quality child care are all given the same learning opportunities to reach their full potential and follow Busy Bees policies and procedures to keep the children safe. Every child in our care will feel included.
