Located on the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, our spacious nursery offers carefully designed spaces and engaging experiences for children at every stage of their early years journey.

Nursery Facilities

Our nursery is divided into multiple rooms, each tailored to different ages and stages of development. Younger children have cosy spaces with cots, comfortable chairs for cuddles and stimulating sensory resources, while all age groups have access to engaging activities designed around their interests and developmental needs.

Each nursery room has its own outdoor space with free-flow access, giving children plenty of opportunities to enjoy fresh air, physical activity and supervised safe-risk play throughout the day.

Our Bee Curious Curriculum supports children’s learning through play, helping them develop key skills and prepare for their next steps. We provide care for children from babies through to preschool age, with experiences tailored to support their individual development.

Located within the grounds of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, our nursery is particularly convenient for families who work at the hospital or in the surrounding area. We have on-site parking for easy drop-offs and collections, as well as a handy buggy store for families arriving on foot or by public transport.

Hello, my name is Jodie Platt and I am the Centre Director here at Kids 1st QE Gateshead.

Here at our centre, we create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel happy, secure and at home. Our team provides engaging opportunities for children to learn through play, explore their interests and develop their confidence and independence.

I look forward to welcoming you and your child and sharing in the exciting first steps of their learning journey.

My daughter absolutely loves attending. She loves the staff who she is with and I feel so happy leaving her there for her session. All staff have been great since day 1 and the management are so approachable and always happy to help. Nothing is ever to much trouble.
