Our nursery in Melrose provides an exemplary environment for children to learn, grow and develop in their time spent at Busy Bees. Within the Melrose nursery are many interesting and exciting areas for the children to explore and discover, encouraging mental and physical development within a warm and comfortable homely setting.
At first glance of our Busy Bees Melrose nursery, parents will see that there is so much for the children to explore and play with throughout, from imaginative role play areas to sensory messy tables. Within our Melrose day care, much of the equipment, toys and room décor is natural and rustic. You’ll see elements such as wooden play kitchens, wooden logs for children to sit on, and recycled wooden pallets for toy and book storage. We actively encourage these sustainable toys alongside many others to encourage natural curiosity and widen the children’s ever-growing imagination.
As well as the fantastic resources on offer within our nursery, we also have great ideas to expand learning and development at home through our innovative app, UP.
At Busy Bees Melrose, we offer the best possible experience for both you and your child within an engaging and fun nursery setting.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Busy Bees. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and reassured. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and patient - they truly take the time to get to know each child and make them feel loved and comfortable. The environment is bright, safe, and full of engaging activities that encourage learning through play. Our child has blossomed since joining - becoming more confident, social, and curious every single day. Communication with parents is also excellent; we always know what our little one has been up to and how they're progressing. It's clear that the team genuinely cares about the children's wellbeing and development. We're so grateful to have found such a nurturing place for our child - we couldn't recommend Busy Bees highly enough!

ViewThe staff have always been professional yet friendly and accommodating with us. Currently I have one baby at the nursery who was very nervous to begin with and cried at every drop off for a few weeks. The staff were so patient and hard working that now she bumbles in with joy, her confidence outside of the classroom has improved with it. The food seems to be great, and the shared areas always clean and tidy which can be no mean feat with the number of small bus people to clear up after

ViewThe support around my 2yo granddaughter's start at Busy Bees Melrose couldn't have been better. All staff were unfailingly friendly and showed that they had time to feed back at the end of every session. And best of all, my granddaughter has settled quickly and is loving being there. Thanks to everyone involved - I would 100% recommend Busy Bees to anyone in the area!

ViewMy child has attended busy bees Melrose nursery for a year and a half now and we love it as a family. As a former nursery worker myself, I have never seen such a beautiful facility and a wonderful selection of staff. They are always focusing on the next way to fully develop the nursery, every room is equipped well, with access to a lovely sensory/sound room. My child, who hasn't always enjoyed watching mum and dad go off to work, has been well comforted, her skills have been developed and she comes home happy and content. The meals have always been so delicious and healthy, my child eats pretty much every bit. The warm fairy lights up around the room makes the place feels extra homely and children have clear easy access to everything, if needed. The outdoor garden feels secure and private with an arrange of equipment. If any nursery deserves to be recognised for it's brilliance, attention to detail and caring atmosphere, it is this one. We will miss it when school comes

ViewThe staff at busy bees have always been kind and respectful, they genuinely seem to take an interest in our childs development and encourage them to following their interests. The food the nursery provides is healthy, well balanced, and must be very tasty since our daughter always seems to finish it all (how do they do it?). Our child seems very comfortable in the staffs care, which shows especially at the end of the day as they always seem happy and content while being picked up. Yes, happy with the nursery, huge thumbs up to them and their outstanding setting. Certainly exceeds our expectations as a family

ViewSince starting in August 2025, our daughter has came on leaps and bounds. Her confidence has improved and her general interactions with both kids and adults has really developed. The activities she takes part in, encourage her to learn and grow and she loves telling us about them and replicating them at home. She's been able to try a variety of different activities and her interests are really supported. I can't recommend the staff and facility enough. We recently had another child and the staff at Melrose have been 100% supportive in helping our first child welcome her sibling. The transition has been seamless.
