Welcome to our nursery...
Busy Bees Plymouth is about a 20 minutes drive from the city centre and is located very close to the city’s hospital and Buisness Park. Situated directly opposite the Range flagship store and its headquarters. We are within the Land Registry site therefore ensuring a safe and secure environment.
Busy bees Plymouth nursery is a purpose built building with four nurturing rooms to care for babies, toddlers, preschool and foundation aged children. We were refurbished in 2018 which allows us to offer a nursery with a warm, welcoming and homely feel. Three of our rooms have direct access to a safe and enclosed garden which is perfect to extend and elaborate on play and learning. Furthermore we have our own woodlands onsite which allows us to give the children the opportunity of engaging in Forest School.
Our opening times support the business of parent’s lives, opening at 07:00 and closing at 18:00. Children are welcomed to have breakfast, followed by nutritional snacks, a two course main meal and a high tea; all prepared and cooked fresh on site by our chef. We are proud of our 5 star food hygiene rating.
We are three times OUTSTANDING Ofsted awarded nursery; last recognised in November 2015. We pride ourselves on our devoted team of childcare professionals who are all passionate about delivering exceptional care and fun.
The staff all have varying qualifications from Level 2 to Level 6, with some undertaking training to gain higher qualification. Busy Bees offer the staff a training programme to support and continually develop their childcare practice, as well as the team having access to networks offered by the local authority. Some staff members take on additional responsibilities. These include Health and Safety, Behaviour Management, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Training mentor.
Our Staff members work within designated age groups so we can provide consistency for the children with a ‘key worker’. The key worker builds up a good relationship with individual children, ensuring the needs are met and children feel comfortable in their surroundings and support with the settling in process for new children starting the nursery.
Feel free to drop in to the nursery, or alternatively call us on 01752 767411 to arrange an appointment to discuss your childcare requirements.
