Discover a nurturing space, packed with exciting activities designed to spark your little one’s curiosity at Busy Bees Preston Hospital, our custom-designed nursery, located in the grounds of Preston Hospital. 

Whether they’re curled up in a cosy reading corner, feeding their inner artist at a craft station, or raiding the dress-up box, your little one will always find something exciting to do. 
We’re passionate about sparking your little one’s curiosity and setting them off on a lifelong learning adventure, and through a mix of supervised free-play and structured activities, they’ll develop fundamental skills in literacy, numeracy, and art and design. 
 
Busy Bees Preston Hospital is overseen by Centre Director Sarah Welburn, who pours over fifteen years of experience into cultivating a welcoming, engaging environment that your little one will love.

Our Sensory Room is a relaxing space providing a unique sensory experience with activities and equipment to explore, engaging and stimulating children’s senses.

Parent Room
Our parent room is a dedicated safe space for us to get to know your family and you to speak in confidence with our nursery team about your child's nursery life.

Smart Board
Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 9 months to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

The fees you pay at our nursery in Preston include all meals, drinks, and snacks, which are freshly prepared on site each day by our talented nursery chef. The kitchen team do their utmost to keep mealtimes fun and exciting for the children at our Preston nursery – creating delicious and appealing meals to keep small appetites happy! Should your child require any special dietary measures, please contact one of the Centre Directors who will be happy to liaise with the kitchen team to find a delicious alternative.

Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Preston are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

We’re conveniently located in the grounds of Preston Hospital, just off the A6 with close access to the M6 and M55. 

Arriving by car? We’ve got ample on-site parking for swift, safe drop-off and pick-ups. 

Arriving by public transport? We’re just under four miles from Preston train station, and served by plenty of bus routes, including the 43, 45, 49, and 125. 

We’ve even got a handy buggy store, where you can stow bulky prams and pushchairs until the end of your little one’s session, free of charge.
